Can Bluebot be used with any type of water line or pipe material?

Bluebot is compatible with a range of pipe sizes, from 3/4″ to 2.0″, and can be used with various pipe types including Copper L & M, PVC SCH 40 & 80, CPVC, Galvanized, PEX, and PE, Stainless Steel 304 & 316.

For larger pipe sizes up to 4″, special orders are available. This means that whether your property has copper, PVC, or any other type of pipe material, Bluebot can be installed without any issues.

Do I need to have any special tools or equipment to install Bluebot?

No special tools or equipment are needed to install bluebot. Everything required for installation is included in the package: the device, USB-C cable, power adapter, and other accessories like sand paper and cloth for cleaning the pipe.

The bluebot app provides step-by-step instructions, guiding you through selecting the best installation location, clamping the device onto the water line, and scanning for water flow.

Before installation, ensure you have a straight, unobstructed section of pipe measuring at least 4 inches in length to ensure accurate readings and optimal performance. Installation is straightforward and can be done quickly and easily with the help of the app, accessible to users of all experience levels.

How does Bluebot detect water leaks and alert me?

Bluebot allows you to customize your alerting parameters, enabling you to receive alerts according to your definition of a leak. You can set thresholds for flow rate or usage and choose the type of notification you prefer. We believe in giving you full control, so we don’t pre-define what constitutes a water leak.
